"I really enjoy all types of landscape design, and find the challenge of meeting most budgets and logistical problems to be part of the creative process. If I had to pick specific aspects of design as my favorites, I'd choose creating outdoor living areas and specialty gardens."

"I enjoy working through the design process with clients so that we may develop a concept that will not only provide creative design choices, but also stay within a comfortable budget. If I had to choose, I'd say new home and renovation landscapes, garden ponds, waterfalls, and unique pool landscapes are probably my areas of expertise."
Education: B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture, Delaware Valley College, 1986.
Experience: Brian has been with Plantique since 1986 and has extensive experience with large-scale and multifaceted residential landscapes. His creative and graceful designs have earned him numerous PLNA awards over the years, including Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards, and Awards of Merit. "A large responsibility I have here at Plantique is the selection and purchasing of the perennials and other small plant materials for our nursery and design team. I'm constantly searching for the best and healthiest plants available and checking out new varieties and industry improvements. I know the plants we use have to live up to the same high standards that our designs and installations do."
Education: B.S. in Horticulture with a concentration in landscape design, Virginia Tech., 1984.
Experience: Lisa came to Plantique in 1995 with ten years experience in the landscape industry. She specializes in annual and perennial design and has worked extensively creating unique planting areas, patios, walkways, and retaining walls. These days, Lisa's shares her plant expertise with our entire design team, often providing support or trouble-shooting assistance. "I believe that landscaping should be thought of as more than just an aesthetic improvement or 'curb appeal.' Well planned and constructed landscaping expands the livable spaces of your home. Just as drywall, plaster, and bricks are used to construct walls in your house, we can use plant materials and other elements to create outdoor rooms to accommodate almost any activity. Dine or entertain 'alfresco', splash and play in a secluded pool area, or relax in a private streamside retreat. I've had the pleasure of helping people turn a yard they were less than proud of into spaces like these, and I believe that is the most satisfying part of my job."
Education: B.S. in Landscape Contracting with a Horticulture minor, Penn State University, 2000
Experience: With Plantique since 2000, Michael had several years of experience in the industry prior to joining our team., and won a PLNA Gold Award in 2006 for residential design. He is always ready to get involved with challenging projects and unique landscaping requests. Whether it's an unusually shaped courtyard or a troublesome slope in your backyard, he sees opportunities for creative solutions and original space-utilizing designs. Every yard can be a homeowner's jewel, and Michael is happy to take on diamonds in the rough.

"I really enjoy meeting clients and hearing their ideas. Landscaping can be a very personal thing that most customers have given some thought to, from how the property is going to be used to what types of plants they want. People see their yards as part of their homes, so it's exciting to help them create landscaping that is attractive and functional, and that also reflects their own personal style."
Education: B.S. in Landscape Contracting, Penn State University, 2004
Experience: Rebecca has been with Plantique since the spring of 2004, and has been consistently winning customer praise from the start. Drawing upon her formal education and past garden center and nursery experience, her knowledge and creative use of plants are among her greatest strengths. Her fondness for perennials and ornamental grasses may have something to do with her flair for color and texture, which can be seen in both her team project contributions and her individual designs.

"I enjoy both the arts and the outdoors, so landscape design was the natural career for me to choose. I love the challenges associated with every new project I am involved in and gain great satisfaction when a customer's wants and needs are fulfilled through my designs. Landscape design is not simply 'landscaping', it also means providing the customer with livable outdoor space that acts as an extension of their home."
Education: B.S. in Landscape Architecture, Temple University, 1996
Experience: Jeff came to Plantique in 2006, but began his career in landscaping 12 years earlier right here in the Lehigh Valley. Having traveled extensively across four continents, Jeff has developed a keen eye for both urban and rural landscape architecture that gives him a broad knowledge base from which to draw. Jeff specializes in many forms of landscaping, including Japanese reflection and meditation gardens and naturalistic designs, such as sustainable (self-maintaining) gardens, wildflower beds, woodland spaces and wetland boarders. He is also skilled with more traditional cottage, herb and kitchen garden designs. His achievements include contributions to Temple University's award-winning 1997 Philadelphia Flower Show educational entry, which won "Best in Show," and an ASLA People's Choice Award in 2000 for the Temple Ambler Wetland Garden.

"I enjoy the challenge of working on a property where the landscape has been neglected and is in need of a complete refurbishment. Proper pruning, shrub trimming, and bed maintenance can transform any property into the neighborhood showpiece."
Education: Completed a variety of plant identification and plant disease courses at Delaware Valley College; certified herbicide and pesticide applicator.
Experience: Lou has been with Plantique since 1994, and came to us with lots of experience in landscape property management and maintenance. He had a special talent for landscape refurbishment and enjoys revitalizing the real "fixer-upper" properties. Lou says that often the first step to success with this type of project is proper bed maintenance, such as weeding, re-mulching and bed edging. These are usually part of his overall plan for restoring older or overgrown landscapes. After that, he finds that there are always options in plant material or hardscapes that the client has not thought of before. He has an eye for seeing the potential in every home's outdoor space.
