No pictures needed, we experienced catastrophic tree loss in Halloween snowstorm of 2011. The damage is evident to some but not until we get a melting period will we be able to assess the full extent of damage. Mature as well as younger plants laden with Fall color were overloaded with a wet and heavy burden. Soft woods such as pears to the brunt of this, although hardwoods succumbed as well.

When we get some relief careful prodding of snow laden branches can be careful shaken. In a few days we will be abe to see what trees can be selectively pruned and which ones are damaged structurally and need to be taken down.

Exercise extreme caution when standing and working around any tree filled with snow. Branch structure is weak and as the snow melts it becomes even more of a strain on the tree.

We are here to assist in any way that we can with what has been a most unpleasant sight in our backyards.
